Harold Crooks’ documentary film credits include:  The Price We Pay [director, writer] premiered at 2014 Toronto International Film Festival [TIFF], voted best Canadian documentary of the year by the Vancouver Film Critics’ Circle, winner of a Prix Gémeaux of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, was a New York Times critics pick and theatrical box office hit in France;  the 2011 TIFF and International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam [IDFA]-selected Surviving Progress (co-director, writer), which had a 36 city theatrical release in USA; Pax Americana And The Weaponization of Space (co-writer) selected for IDFA 2009 and co-winner Best Documentary Award at Whistler Film Festival; the TIFF, IDFA and Sundance audience award winner The Corporation (co-wrote narration);  Bhopal: The Search for Justice (producer-writer), selected for Amnesty International Festivals in London, New York and L.A. and 2005 Wolf Jesco von Puttkamer Award winner for Best Doc at the Festival Internacional de Cinema e Video Ambiental in Goìa, Brazil; and the TIFF-selected The World Is Watching [producer-writer], winner of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television’s Genie Award and a Gold Hugo at the 1989 Chicago International Film Festival (Best Documentary).
